Clinical Consulting & Mentoring

Supporting clinicians to support hypermobile clients

Not every therapist can have a comprehensive knowledge of every disorder. In the case of Ehlers Danlos Syndromes and other Hypermobility Spectrum Disorders, many patients will present to general musculoskeletal practices but can present with very complex needs as a result of the widespread impacts of the altered connective tissue in every body system, a range of comorbid conditions that frequently occur in these patients, and their individual journeys navigating the health system with complex, multi-system, rare diseases.

As well as offering clinical services to hypermobile clients, facilitating the EDS Society's ECHO program for Allied Health Professionals in Australasia, authoring papers and collaborating on CPD programs through the APA on issues related to hypermobility, Flex-Ability offers individualised support to clinicians to help them apply their existing skills effectively to management of this population and to further extend those skills.

If you are a clinician seeking support to optimise your assessment and management of an individual hypermobile client or to more generally grow your clinical knowledge and skill in this area, please contact us to discuss the options best suited to you:

  • Inservice training sessions

  • Ongoing clinical mentoring

  • Case review and discussion

  • Co-treatment programs
