June 26th Lockdown Update

Under the current Public Health Order in place in the Illawarra, clinic based physio services are available where it would be detrimental to the patient's health to not do so. Where services can be delivered by telehealth or postponed, the advice from the Chief Allied Health Officer is that they should be.

Flex-Ability Physio is committed to looking after all members of our community including our clients and team members. We are registered with the NSW Government as a COVID Safe Business and continue to promptly monitor and act on the advice from the government and the Australian Physiotherapy Association to maintain the highest standards of safety for everyone. We ask for your assistance in upholding our COVID-19 Safety plan including the following measures:

  1. Please do NOT attend the clinic if

    • you have symptoms of respiratory infection; 

    • have been exposed to someone with confirmed COVID-19 infection or someone in quarantine; or

    • have traveled or transited through an affected country, Victoria or any other known "hot spot" in the past 14 days

  2. ​Please do NOT bring additional people with you to your appointment unless they are an essential support person, required to assist you during your visit.

  3. Please do NOT come into the clinic more than 5mins prior to your scheduled appointment to reduce the number of people sharing our clinic space and comply with the requests and directions of the practice staff on arrival.

  4. Please wear a mask during your time in the clinic. Masks (both disposable and washable types) are available to purchase from the Bulli Medical team if you do not have one.

  5. All patients and visitors to Flex-Ability Physio will need to sign in using the Service NSW App (www.service.nsw.gov.au/campaign/service-nsw-mobile-app) by scanning the QR code that is displayed in the waiting area. Please show the confirmation of your sign in to a Flex-Ability team member on entering the treatment space. If you have any difficulties signing in, we will be able to assist you.

 

While we are following infection control guidelines with regard to cleaning of all clinic surfaces, and providing hand cleaning facilities for both clients and staff, it would assist if you could please bring your own clean towel to cover exercise equipment and other surfaces, and consider bringing items like your own pen, hand sanitiser and water bottle to limit contact with clinic surfaces. Wearing or bringing suitable clothing for your session (eg: shorts and singlet) will also be helpful. 

If you are self isolating or would prefer to distance yourself to reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19, but would like a consultation, please contact us regarding the availability of Telehealth consultations (available via any computer with internet and a webcam, or your smart phone). We can arrange for a therapist to assess, advise and prescribe home based management for your musculoskeletal complaints while you are doing your bit to protect yourself and our community from COVID-19.
